If this happens we will be in touch to sort replacement or refund.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDahlias are frost tender so are best not planted to early - mid to late October is a good time unless you live somewhere that is reliably frost free earlier than this or you can offer them protection.  Because a lot of the dahlias in New Zealand are imported they may have growth shoots before this time.  If this happens you should remove them from the packaging and place them in just moist potting mix and keep them somewhere cool and sheltered. Opening the bag when you receive your tuber is also a good idea for storing until it is time to plant. Tubers will be sent out from mid August, early September. These are Fiesta brand tubers and may be from imported or NZ grown stock.
